A video is now available documenting the monitoring project we are conducting in the iconic Blue Gum forest and Grose Valley regions of the Blue Mountains.
We are working with a diverse team of scientists to conduct critical post-fire fieldwork and the data collected will inform remedial actions and preparations for future fire events.
Funding from the Australian Federal Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources is supporting researchers in ecology, geomorphology, catchment hydrology and computer modelling to collaborate with citizen scientists engaged in monitoring the region.
The outcome of the project will be an ecosystem analysis and monitoring data that will help inform decision-making and activate on-ground recovery initiatives by land management agencies and the wider community.
