GOVERNANCE
The Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute is a Company Limited By Guarantee regulated by the ACNC and the Corporations Act (2001).
The Institute is listed on the Government Register of Environmental Organisations, and is therefore granted Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, so donations to the Institute are tax-deductible.

FUNDING
Our funding is derived from government research grants, benefaction, sponsorship, fees for services and from the annual contributions of our member organisations.
If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to the Blue Mountains World Heritage Institute, please visit our donations page.
FOUNDING MEMBERS
The Institute was founded in 2004 in response to the World Heritage Listing of the Greater Blue Mountains in the year 2000. Recognising the need for a dedicated centre of research, the Institute was formed by a consortium of 9 members including universities and government agencies.
